We investigate the occurrence of overlapping words in the words generated by the Fibonacci substitution given by the rule\u00a0<\/span>a<\/i>\u00a0\u21a6\u00a0<\/span>ab,b<\/i>\u00a0\u21a6\u00a0<\/span>a<\/i>. To do this, we identify the factors of maximal periodicities.
