Gammon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/img\/journals\/molecules-logo.png?8600e93ff98dbf14\" alt=\"molecules-logo\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this paper, we report on the chemistry of the rare South African Actinomycete\u00a0<em>Kribbella speibonae<\/em>\u00a0strain SK5, a prolific producer of hydroxamate siderophores and their congeners. Two new analogues, dehydroxylated desferrioxamines, speibonoxamine\u00a0<strong>1<\/strong>\u00a0and desoxy-desferrioxamine D<sub>1<\/sub><strong>2<\/strong>, have been isolated, together with four known hydroxamates, desferrioxamine D<sub>1<\/sub><strong>3<\/strong>, desferrioxamine B\u00a0<strong>4<\/strong>, desoxy-nocardamine\u00a0<strong>5<\/strong>\u00a0and nocardamine\u00a0<strong>6<\/strong>, and a diketopiperazine (DKP)\u00a0<strong>7<\/strong>. The structures of\u00a0<strong>1<\/strong>\u2013<strong>7<\/strong>\u00a0were characterized by the analysis of HRESIMS and 1D and 2D NMR data, as well as by comparison with the relevant literature. Three new dehydroxy desferrioxamine derivatives\u00a0<strong>8<\/strong>\u2013<strong>10<\/strong>\u00a0were tentatively identified in the molecular network of\u00a0<em>K.speibonae<\/em>\u00a0strain SK5 extracts, and structures were proposed based on their MS\/MS fragmentation patterns. A plausible\u00a0<em>spb<\/em>\u00a0biosynthetic pathway was proposed.
