Each of the representatives from the government agencies relevant to\ntourism in Central Visayas and from the private sector were asked to deliver a\nshort talk or presentation on sustainable tourism issues. Each talk was\nfollowed by a reaction from a faculty member after which the other participants\ncan also share or ask a question on the topic at hand. Ms. Teresa Alambra,\nassistant Regional Director of NEDA-7, delivered a talk on Sustainable Tourism\nand its economic import in Central Visayas. Ms. Judilyn Quiachon, Senior\nTourism Supervising Officer of DOT-7, talked on the updates in tourism in\nCentral Visayas. Ms. Josephine Cabarrus delivered a comprehensive talk on the\nstrengths, best practices, challenges, and concerns in Bohol tourism. Ms.\nBernadette Esmero of DENR-7 talked about carrying capacities of ecotourism\nsites in Cebu. Architect Maxwell Espina, a Board member of the Arts Council of Cebu,\ntalked about the need for art hubs and spaces in Cebu which tourists can visit,\nand the need to enhance the art tourism in Cebu. Lastly, Ms. Hearty Rizarri,\nthe Cebu City Tourism Officer, talked about the status, prospects, and some\nplans for cultural tourism and ecotourism in Cebu City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/172.17.1.35\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/172.17.1.35\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cvsc.upcebu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cvsc.upcebu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cvsc.upcebu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cvsc.upcebu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cvsc.upcebu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/RTD_Photo-1-min-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The faculty members and REP who participated in the RTD were: Dr. Tiffany Tan, Dean of the School of Management; Dr. Florence Evacitas, Chair, Department of Biology and Environmental Science; Prof. Jay Jore, Coordinator, Fine Arts Program; Dr. Jocelyn Pinzon, Faculty member of the College of Communication, Art &amp; Design (CCAD); Prof. Palmy Pe Tudtud, Faculty member, CCAD; Prof. Lilia Tio, Faculty member, CCAD; Prof. Mae Claire Jabines, Faculty member, College of Social Sciences; Prof. Nelia Ereno, Faculty Member, Department of Mathematics and Physics; Dr. Belinda F. Espiritu, Director, CVSC; and Ms. Cora Jane C.
